Omegafriends Background:
Much the same as canon - she grew up in Venture City, the daughter of a photographer and sister to a young up-and-coming fashion model. The latter - her older sister Momoka - was an ongoing conflict in her youth. Erika had and still has a bit of a complex about her cool, attractive and successful sister.
Then one day, she met Tsubomi, and the Heart Tree decided that another protector was needed, so the fairy Coffret was sent to Earth, and chose Erika as the next Precure.
Personality:
Erika approaches life at full force. Full of energy, friendliness and extroversion, she takes charge of situations by instinct. The positive side of this is that she makes friends easily and is good at dragging people out of their shell. On the other hand, she also has a tendency to forge ahead without thinking of other people's feelings, which can get people a bit fed up with her overbearing personality.
Erika's number one interest in life is other people's lives. When she hears about someone having a problem, she will leap at the opportunity to get involved. An entire day spent helping someone, even a total stranger, deal with some mundane personal problem is a day well spent, as far as she's concerned. By comparison, she prefers to let her own issues take the back seat. Her love life is about he same - more or less completely uninterested in a relationship for herself, but eager to dive headfirst into the romantic trials of her friends.
Speaking of issues, Erika has a big one, and her name is Momoka Kurumi. Erika has a complex about the sister whose shadow she grew up in. At times she's jealous of Momoka, at times she hates her, at times she wants to be her. Some day, she'll get an actual appreciation for the kind of sacrifices Momoka has made, and while that doesn't totally relieve her of her jealousy, she at least becomes more capable of admitting it to herself, and ultimately is able to get along with her sister a bit better.
Erika is very interested in fashion. It's not about vanity - she approaches it as an art, and takes a lot of pride in it. Fashion design is what Erika does as an alternative to competing with her sister in the modeling field. Her philosophy is that fashion can be an extension of self-expression, and takes it one step further: The right clothes can change who you are. Changing yourself is hard, but changing what you wear is easy, so one can change their appearance on the outside as a stepping stone to changing who they are on the inside.
As a superhero and an Omegafriend, Cure Marine is a hotblooded head-on attacking type. She fights with her heart, not with her brain, usually relying on Cure Blossom to come up with any actual ideas of how to approach a fight.

By using the Heart Perfume granted to her by Coffret, Erika can transform into the magical girl Cure Marine! In addition to increases in strength, durability, fighting skill, and jumping power, she gets several special powers:

- Marine Shoot: Fires a machine-gun stream of magical water bullets at her foe.
- Marine Impact: Sends out a short-range burst of blue magical energy from the palm of her hand.
- Marine Dynamite: Throws out an explosion of blue explodiness in all directions.
Then, if she summons her evil-fighting wand, the Marine Tact:
- Precure Blue Forte Wave: Launches a massive bud of blue and green energy that, upon striking the enemy, blooms into a brilliant flower of purifying light.
- Precure Floral Power Fortissimo: Team attack with Cure Blossom. They begin glowing, and fly through the air, piercing through the enemy's heart with a (non-fatal!) explosion of light.
- Precure Shining Forissimo: Team attack with Cure Blossom and Cure Sunshine. The same as the last one, but they fly through Sunshine's super sunlight orb and turn gold.
- Heartcatch Orchestra: Team attack with Cure Blossom, Cure Sunshine and Cure Moonlight. Summons an enormous goddess who punches the bejeesus out of the traget.
